Whitney Lorentz
Co-Managing Director

My parents instilled in me, at a very young age, what it means to be a Global Citizen and the responsibilities I hold in that role.

Regardless of one’s race, religion or station in life everyone deserves the right to an education, home, clean food and water, healthcare and love. It is our responsibility to stand for those who cannot stand for themselves. Since my opportunity to help start One Child’s Village in 2005, it has become a primary outlet for me in my life to fulfill that moral role and, more recently, to immerse myself in my new role as Co-Managing Director.
It has been a true inspiration for me to have the opportunity to travel to our projects in Kenya and see first-hand the impact of our work. My work with One Child’s Village also resulted in an inclusion in the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation’s 2014 issue of “Top 30 under 30”.

I currently live in Edmonton, Alberta and enjoy my job with FortisAlberta.
